The countdown is on for Halifax to host the CBIE conference in November 2017! We can’t wait to welcome our international education colleagues, showcase our collaborative practices and share some east-coast hospitality.
At the conference you will have a chance to learn first-hand about the ways that we are working together as a province to develop innovative pathways for international students including our new “study and stay” project. Nova Scotia is home to ten universities, the 13 campus Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), the K-12 Nova Scotia International Schools Program (NSISP), private schools, and language schools who all collaborate on international education as “EduNova”. To get an overview of what Nova Scotia offers collaboratively, check out the “Study in Nova Scotia” video.
After the conference sessions are over, at our many cosy (or loud!) pubs and restaurants you will be able to discover (or re-discover!) our famous friendly hospitality, love of music and fun.
In our next blog, we will share a few of our favourite places to catch some local music and try Nova Scotia seafood, wine, microbrews, and for the real bluenosers: local spirits!
Katie Orr (Director, NSCC) & Wendy Luther (President & CEO of EduNova)
