Although CBIE was incorporated in 1966, the organization developed in the late 1940s as Friendly Relations with Overseas Students (FROS).

Board of Directors
The Canadian Bureau for International Education consists of three appointed board officers and twelve elected board members from across Canada and the education sector.

Our pan-Canadian membership includes the full spectrum of education; universities, colleges, institutes, polytechnics, cégeps, school boards and language schools.

Since 1966, CBIE has worked to promote international education alongside partners in Canada and abroad.
