Global Affairs Canada’s short-term exchange competitions are now closed!
Global Affairs Canada is offering 700+ short exchange scholarships in Canada for international students, faculty and professionals through the 2024-2025 Short-Term Exchange Programs. The Short-Term Exchange Programs continue to have the shared goal of promoting partnerships, student mobility and research collaborations between Canadian and international post-secondary institutions.
Interested candidates should review each program’s guidelines and contact their home institution’s international office to learn about partnerships and student exchange agreements with Canadian institutions. Home institutions will then provide eligible candidates’ documentation to their partners in Canada. Canadian post-secondary institutions must submit scholarship applications on behalf of students, faculty and/or staff from eligible countries/territories by March 19, 2024.

Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program 2024-2025
The 2024-2025 Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program scholarship competition is now closed.
Global Affairs Canada and the Chinese Ministry of Education are offering short-term scholarships to Canadians wishing to study abroad in China. Scholarships are awarded for studies, research, language studies or a combination of studies and language studies at participating Chinese institutions.
Program name: Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program
Funding organizations: Global Affairs Canada and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China
Target audiences: Canadian students (college, undergraduate and graduate levels in Canada); Canadian faculty members and research staff at a post-secondary institution in Canada; Canadian mid-career professionals
Number of scholarships: Over 20
Duration: 4 to 12 months for students; and 8 weeks to 12 months for faculty members and mid-career professionals
Inclusions: Airfare, tuition fees, monthly living stipend, on-campus accommodation and medical insurance
Deadline: March 4, 2024

Scholarship opportunities for Canadians from OAS member states
The Organization of American States (OAS) is offering a scholarship opportunity for students and professionals seeking to advance their skills:
2024 Academic Scholarships Program: One scholarship (valued at up to 10,000 USD per year for up to two years) will be awarded to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to study or conduct research, at the Master’s or PhD level, leading to a degree from a university in an OAS member state.
