1. Introduction
Unless otherwise specified on the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) website (www.cbie-bcei.ca) the following terms and conditions apply to purchase of a CBIE membership, event or publication. These terms and conditions may be supplemented or overridden by terms and conditions specific to the CBIE product or service.
2. Membership Fee Transactions
a. Sales Tax
Membership fees are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
b. Refunds and Cancellation
All sales are final for membership fees. No refunds will be issued.
3. Event Transactions
a. Sales Tax
All prices listed are subject to the Harmonized Sales Tax/Government Sales Tax for the Canadian province where the event will take place.
If the event will occur online (ex. Webinar), then the Harmonized Sales Tax/Government Sales Tax of the Canadian province where the registrant resides will apply. If the registrant does not reside in Canada then the Harmonized Sales Tax for Ontario will apply.
b. Refunds and Cancellation
Each event has a specific refund and cancellation policy based on the dates and fees of the specific event. At a minimum, a 3% service charge is kept to cover the credit card transaction fees. Please consult the event-specific web pages on the CBIE website (www.cbie-bcei.ca) for more details.
4. Publication Transactions
a. Sales tax
All publication prices are subject to the Harmonized Sales Tax for the province of Ontario (13%).
b. Refunds and Cancellation
All sales are final for publication purchases. No refunds will be issued.
5. Payment
Payments may be made by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), cheque or money order. Payments should be made using the product or service specific purchase webform on CBIE website (www.cbie-bcei.ca). You will not receive the product or service until payment is received in full.
