Privacy Statement – CBIE2021

The Canadian Bureau for International Education (“CBIE”) is committed to protecting the privacy of any Personal Information that we may obtain in the course of conducting CBIE2021 Virtual Conference (“CBIE 2021”). The following Privacy Policy applies to any Delegate attending CBIE2021.
“Personal Information” means any information, recorded in any form, about an identified individual or an individual whose identity may be inferred or determined from such information, including business contact information (e.g. name, title, business).

CBIE2021 will use both Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (“Zoom”) and Intros.at Ltd (“Grip”) platforms to conduct virtual meetings, sessions and events. Please review their respective privacy policies to learn more about how your information is collected and stored.

Information collected for the purpose of participating in CBIE2021 will be shared with conference attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. CBIE2021 may use the personal information we obtain to:

  • Display your Personal Information (e.g. name, title, business) on Grip within the Delegate, Presenter or Exhibitor list (where applicable).

All conference sessions including presenters and attendees will be audio and video recorded (unless otherwise specified) during CBIE2021. All sessions will be made available on Grip for attendees for one month after the live event. A subset of recordings may also be made available to CBIE members via our community hub and/or adapted for CBIE promotional, marketing, and educational materials and digital media. By participating in the CBIE2021 you authorize CBIE to use your voice, name, statements, and/or likeness, in perpetuity and royalty-free, in any manner or form, in whole or in part, throughout the world. CBIE will own all right, title and interest, including without limitation all copyrights, trademark rights and property rights, to the material.

We do not sell, trade, barter, exchange or disclose for consideration any Personal Information we have obtained.
