This webinar has been approved by ICCRC for 1 hour of  Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit.

Email [email protected] to purchase this webinar.

This webinar will examine how recent changes to the Express Entry system have helped or hindered international students in their quest to remain in Canada permanently. The webinar will provide an overview of these changes, apply these changes to several scenarios to examine their impact, and suggest approaches that international education professionals can take to help their students work towards permanent residency goals.

Upon completion of this webinar participants should be able to:

  • Understand how the November 2016 changes to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) impact international students with different types of credentials;
  • Explain to international students and alumni how particular factors make them more or less competitive in the Express Entry system; and
  • Consider how to prepare their institution and/or advising practice to help current international students make informed decisions regarding permanent residency goals.
