Represented by the International Relations-Professional Learning Community (IR-PLC), CBIE hosted a Parallel Session entitled Enriching Knowledge and Experience through Professional Learning Communities: Voices from Canada, Brazil, and Colombia. This session allowed for a dynamic conversation focused on the potential of national and regional communities of international relations practitioners to bolster sectorial collaboration and best practices in areas of common interest.

Yukino Mori (Simon Fraser University), Andrea Delgado Morrow (University of Calgary) and Julio Sevilla (Concordia University) spoke on behalf of CBIE’s IR-PLC and were joined by Karen Dalkie, Vice-President, Partnerships and Development at CBIE, to present CBIE’s successful experience in building a pan-Canadian community of practitioners that enables sharing of knowledge, expertise and ideas that advance the internationalization efforts in their respective institutions.

The session counted on the participation of partners from FAUBAI, Brazil, and RCI, Colombia to engage in an open dialogue, exploring the benefits, challenges, and synergies in their collective efforts. Over 35 representatives from the higher education sectors across the Americas participated in the discussion.

CBIE is proud to be founding member of CAIE and to provide its membership with new opportunities to explore the fast-growing Latin American sector of international education.
