Canada-Saudi Education Partnership Forum 2.0

March 30

Venue: Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto
Location: Toronto, Canada

Event Overview

The Embassy of Canada in Riyadh and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), in partnership with the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia, are co-organizing the second Canada-Saudi Education Partnership Forum. This event builds on the success of the inaugural Canada-Saudi Education Partnership Forum, held in Riyadh in May 2024, with the Saudi Minister of Education headlining. The forthcoming Forum is scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. The event will feature panel sessions, business-to-business meetings and a networking reception.

Please note, on Tuesday, March 31, the Saudi delegation will be visiting Ontario post-secondary institutions.

Who Attends

The Forum will convene senior leadership, including Presidents, Vice Presidents, Deans, and Global Engagement leads, from leading Canadian and Saudi educational institutions (universities, colleges, and polytechnics) as well as relevant public and private sector entities. Participants will explore institutional collaborations, including, but not limited to, joint study programs, collaborative research initiatives, curriculum development, student and faculty exchanges, and technical and vocational training partnerships.

Why Attend

This high-level Forum will facilitate structured business-to-business (B2B) meetings, institutional site visits, and opportunities for meaningful networking and dialogue. The Forum will focus on priority sectors that align closely with Canadian institutional expertise and the strategic objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. These sectors will include, but are not limited to, information technology, tourism and hospitality, medicine, nursing, clean energy, mining, agriculture and others. Forging bilateral academic and research partnerships in these areas will not only benefit Canadian institutions but also contribute significantly to the advancement of human capital in the Kingdom at a time of profound transformation.

Participation

Participation is open to institutions, government, and provincial international education associations. To ensure the Forum provides the most meaningful and impactful connections, participation will be carefully selected based on submitted Expressions of Interest.

Submissions will be accepted until March 6, 2026.

Questions can be directed to the CBIE partnership team at partnerships-partenariat@cbie.ca.
