Nataliya Oliferchuk

Nataliya Oliferchuk is an international academic and immigration advisor. In 2008, she began working at MacEwan University, and has held multiple roles focusing on international education and international students.  The culmination of all her work in international education has led to her current role of what she now calls “blended academic and immigration advising”. In 2017, Nataliya received her Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) designation and began advising on immigration matters, including academics, settlement, cultural integration, counselling, and career opportunities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lviv National State University and a Masters of Education in Policy Studies, Administrative major, from University of Alberta. She loves working with students and her personal advising philosophy is “Be there for the student.”

Monika Cox

International Immigration Academic Advisor, MScM, RCIC

MacEwan University

Monika Cox is an international academic and immigration advisor at MacEwan University. She became a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in 2016, when she first started to advise on immigration related issues. She came to Canada as an exchange student in 2006, and since then has been interested in issues faced by immigrants and cross-cultural research in management. Monika worked as a sessional instructor at the University of Lethbridge and volunteered in settlement organizations in Edmonton and Lethbridge.  Monika holds a Master of Science in Management from the Poznan University of Economics. She enjoys working with students and is passionate about her work.

Erin Wight

RCIC, Manager, International Student Services

MacEwan University

Erin Wight works with a dedicated group of advisors on the International Student Services team at MacEwan University. She manages a portfolio that focuses on student persistence and success throughout students’ educational journeys. As an RCIC, she also works on smoothing out processes at the university that present hurdles for students navigating immigration requirements, while upholding the integrity of our educational and immigration policies. Recently, she has focused on capacity building for faculty and staff so they feel more confident in working with newcomer and international students. Erin studied and taught abroad before joining MacEwan University in 2009. Since 2011, she has also worked with the International Summer School at Dankook University in Korea, which welcomes students from around the world for short-term studies in summer.
