SUMMARY:Building Inclusive Wraparound Supports for Outbound Mobility
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”60054″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1642709517949{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text] \nOverview\nGlobal Skills Opportunity (GSO)\, CBIE\, and the CBIE Education Abroad Professional Learning Community (EA-PLC) will facilitate a webinar to support Canadian post-secondary institutions in developing and designing their international experience programs. Discussion and reflection during this event will include both in-person and virtual approaches. \nThis learning webinar will be open to the Canadian international education community (not limited to CBIE members). Simultaneous French interpretation will be available. \nDescription\nThis webinar will focus on how institutions prepare their students for an international experience\, including how support can be more accessible to underserved populations. Dr. Lopez-McGee is a scholar-practitioner currently serving as the Executive Director of Diversity Abroad\, where she works at the intersection of equity\, diversity\, inclusion\, and international education and exchange. She is a practitioner\, researcher\, and speaker. She has published in industry and academic outlets. She also serves as a Co-Chair of the Global Access Pipeline and has helped coordinate the Conference on Diversity in International Affairs sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations. \nDr. Lopez-McGee has worked extensively in grant administration\, capacity building\, and training programs for minority-serving institutions focused on internationalization. She is deeply committed to equalizing access to education.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
