Although not widely known\, this section is crucial for advisors working with international students. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row text_align=”center”][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text] \nEstonia\, Latvia\, and Lithuania\n[/vc_column_text]Submit your Expression of Interest[vc_column_text]Deadline to Submit EOI: Thursday\, April 23\, 2026 [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nOverview\nIn collaboration with the Trade Commissioner Service at the Embassies of Canada to Estonia\, Latvia\, and Lithuania\, CBIE will be leading a Canada-Baltics Education in Defence Partnership Mission focused on strengthening collaboration in defence-related research\, training\, and dual-use technologies\, most notably in the following sectors: \n\nEngineering (aerospace\, robotics\, logistics);\nICT (AI\, cybersecurity\, digital systems/digital defence);\nPhysical sciences (lasers\, photonics\, materials);\nLife sciences (biomedicine\, health-tech); and\nDefence tech (Drone\, UGVs\, C-UAV).\n\nAligned with the Government of Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy\, this initiative is designed to advance institutional partnerships during a one-week trade mission through in-market insight events and B2B networking with educational institutions and key local stakeholders in each of the three countries. \nThe Mission will provide CBIE’s member institutions with the platform to explore opportunities for research\, including applied research collaborations\, training programs\, joint and dual programs\, specific to defence and dual-use technologies. \nEligibility\nParticipation is open to senior representatives from CBIE member institutions such as Vice-Presidents\, Deans\, Directors\, and other institutional leaders who are able to advance strategic collaborations on behalf of their institution. \nFunding Support\nParticipants are responsible for securing and paying their own travel and accommodation costs.
