COURSE DESCRIPTION

To satisfy their due diligence and meet the ISO 31030 standard, institutions should have a risk management strategy. The policies, preventive measures, procedures, and protocols in place operationalize this strategy. To empower institutions, Aléas offers a course during which participants will learn about risk management best practices in the context of international mobility. They will gain the knowledge to reflect on their business methodology, recognize gaps and identify priorities to address.

The delivery includes a combination of asynchronous videos and live sessions enriched by group discussions.

The program is divided into four modules:

  • Governance
  • Preventive measures
  • Crisis Management
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
LEARNING OBJECTIVES

This course lays the foundations required to develop a culture in which risk management, safety, and security lie at the heart of all international mobility activities. Participants will accomplish the following:

  • Increase their knowledge of risk management.
  • Learn about best practices in an international mobility context.
  • Establish a clear picture of the safety practices in place.
  • Evaluate their institution’s ability to meet its duty of care.
  • Prioritize tools and procedures to implement to reach safety and security objectives.
TEAM REGISTRATION

Given the collaborative nature of this online program, we highly suggest that institutions register multiple participants. Institutional teams could include representatives from the following departments:

  • International Office
  • Human Resource
  • Safety and Security
  • Risk Management Office
  • Legal affairs and insurance

PLEASE NOTE: We only require one payment per institutional team of three people.  Additional team members can join at a discounted fee of $500 per person.

Please send the list of your institutional stakeholders to learning@cbie.ca so they can be included in the webinar registration.
