COURSE DESCRIPTION
To satisfy their due diligence and meet the ISO 31030 standard, institutions should have a travel risk management strategy. The policies, preventive measures, procedures, and protocols in place operationalize this strategy. To empower institutions, Aléas offers a course during which participants will learn about risk management best practices to provide a safe and secure international experience to their institution’s travellers. They will gain the knowledge to reflect on their business methodology, recognize gaps and identify priorities to address.
The program is divided into four modules:
- Governance
- Preventive measures
- Crisis Management
- Monitoring and Evaluation
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This course lays the foundations required to develop a culture in which risk management, safety, and security lie at the heart of all international mobility activities. Participants will accomplish the following:
- Increase their knowledge of travel risk management.
- Learn about best practices in the context of international mobility activities.
- Establish a clear picture of the safety practices in place.
- Evaluate their institution’s ability to meet its duty of care.
- Prioritize tools and procedures to implement to reach safety and security objectives.
TEAM REGISTRATION
Given the collaborative nature of this online program, we highly suggest that institutions register multiple participants. Institutional teams could include representatives from the following departments:
- International Office
- Human Resource
- Safety and Security
- Risk Management Office
- Legal affairs and insurance
PLEASE NOTE: We only require one payment per institutional team of three people. Additional team members can join at a discounted fee of $500 per person.
TRAINING SCHEDULE & DELIVERY
This six-week course will be delivered via a series of asynchronous video capsules, complemented with live webinars enriched by group discussions. Participants are encouraged to view each of the respective video modules and complete the required activities/homework before attending the subsequent live webinar. The live webinar will build upon the asynchronous activities to deepen the knowledge and learning. Please note that the live webinars will NOT be recorded, and thus attendance is required.
